The News and RSS elements are critical tools for disseminating school and district news. To ensure that these elements remain on your website, webmasters can lock them into place.
How to Lock News and RSS Feeds
1. Login to the Webmaster Center and work your way to the page with the News or RSS element you wish to lock.
2. Click the pencil icon located at the top left corner of the element.
3. When the settings window pops up, check the option for "Only Author Can Move, Edit, or Delete."
Checking this option prevents other webmasters, editors, and contributors from deleting or moving the element to a new position on the page. To move or delete protected News and RSS Elements, the authoring webmaster must first uncheck this option.
