About Merging Rosters
At the beginning of a term, you may want to move sections from one course center to another to consolidate your students. This will make assigning work and grading easier. The Merge tool allows you to do this as well as view the students in each section, and change course names.
Getting There
Click the Merge button on the top right side of your Dashboard or the Merge Rosters button in the Roster Manager area of all course centers.

Moving and Merging Sections
Before you enter assignments or grades, you can move a section from one course center to another. If you have entered an assignment and the links are grayed out, you can go to your administrator or contact School Loop. Either will be able to move the section for you as long as you are willing to reenter your content. The principle behind this is that content stays with the course center in which it was created. If you move a section out of the course center, you are moving it away from any existing assignments or grades that you have already entered.
Selecting Course Centers for Sections
Selecting Move and Merge will take you to the Move Section page. You will see the section that you have chosen to merge and a list of course centers into which you can move it. Click the button next to the course you want to move the section into and then click Submit. The students will now display in that course center and in that gradebook.
Edit Course Center Name
Course Center names are imported from your SIS and are not always very clear. Click the Edit button next to the Course Center name to change it.
Section Rosters
Select View Roster and you will be able to see the names of students in each section. Any student who has been dropped from this section will appear with a line through the name. Click on the name of any student to see that student’s student record.
