What Information Is Archived?
When School Loop transitions your site to a new school year, a variety of content is archived in preparation for new courses and students. This page outlines which content is archived for the various users of School Loop.
Teachers
When a school transitions from one school year to the next, the Course Center contents will be automatically archived. The archive includes the assignments, progress reports, course locker, and notes for each Course Center. Teachers may access their archived data from the Course Archives link in the Toolbox on their homepage.
Assignments can be copied and republished (teachers will need to select the current course/period as well as the assign and due dates).
Course Locker contents can be copied into another course locker for the new school year.
Progress Reports are available in the archive. Note that the gradebook archive consists of progress reports, not the actual gradebook. The gradebook functionality is no longer available once the archive is created. Teachers will just see previously published progress reports.
Course Notes can be copied and republished (teachers will need to select the current course/period as well as the assign and due dates).
Course Sites for School Loop Plus teachers will be archived if any changes at all were made during the year. The pages will be archived in a special Archive section of their teacher site. To restore the page, it's just a matter of copying the archived page. Sites for all School Loop Standard users will not be affected in any way.
All Users
LoopMail from the previous year will be accessible from a pair of archive links for the inbox and outbox.
Personal Lockers stay the same. No archiving or changes occur during the transition.
Groups stay the same. No archiving or changes occur during the transition.
School Settings
Access Rights settings are maintained from year to year.
